So if you were to do this problem first I'd convert the fraction 1/10 to a decimal.  That's like saying 1 in 10 or 10%.  So it should convert to .10 x 6 = 0.60 and don't forget to multiple 7 x1000 next. (Left to right).  7,000.  So it becomes 5+10+0.60+7,000 then add. 7,015.60 is your answer.
