The circumference of a circle can be calculated using the following equation;
circumference = 2πr

The circumference of the circle = 2π *6
                                                  = 12π in.

we are asked to find the length of an arc when the central angle is 45°.
the length when central angle is 360° = 12π
therefore when central angle is 45°     = 12π /360 * 45
     the length of the arc = 1.5π in.
