Aisosceles triangle has area of 98 square inches what are the leg lengths

Isosceles triangles have two legs of the same length and the other (hypotenuse)  will be a different length. 

The formula for the area of a triangle is  
A=b*h/2

in this case  > A=b*b/2
98=b²/2 >b²=196- >b=14 

b=14 in
we also know that 
a²+b²=c²- > c²=196+196=392> c=19.80 in

the leg lengths are
a=14 in
b=14 in
c=19.80 in
