i have this problem on my kumon but i didn't get the y is a fraction thing. ✅❎➕➖➗✖️

If you simply go ahead and solve this system of simultaneous
equations ... calculate what 'x' and 'y' must be in order to make
both equations true ... you'll find (if you solve it correctly) that
'x' must be  2  and 'y' must be  1/2 . I have a hunch that this is
probably what's behind the mysterious statement that "'y' is a fraction".
