Acolor photograph taken with a digital camera is converted into digital format using 4 x 10^0 bytes per pixel. photographs taken with the camera each have 2.2 x 10^6 pixels. how many bytes are there in one photo? am i supposed to divide, or subtract?

You are suppose to divide itquestion, is the 4-bytes per pixel for all the rgb colors or is it 4-bytes per color?   since 4-bytes divided by 3-colors is a non-integer number, we'll make a third assumption that they mean 4-bytes per color.  thus, each pixel requires 4-bytes per color times 3-colors per pixel = 12 bytes per pixel.  from there, the maths are trivial and you should be able to solve this problem with ease.  you should get an answer close to 6700 images. i'll let you do the maths and convert to sci notation.
