How do u turn a fraction into a mixed number?

Lets turn 26/7 into a mixed number, you see how many times the bottom number goes into the top,in this case it is three times,and that equals 21,again,7 goes into 21 three times,so you put the three on the left side,and you keep the rest of the 26,which would be 5,on the top,and keep the 7 on the bottom.

so your answer would be : 3 5/7      ,or,      three and five-sevenths     ,or,     three and five over seven
