Ineed to know how to solve this fraction problem

Six honey bees since 6/12 is half of a whole number.

Would it be 6 honey bees? Because if 1 honey bee makes 1/12 of a teespoon per lifetime you would need 6 of them to make 6/12 which is simplified to 1/2 

So I BEElieve you'll need 6 honeybees.
