How do you do this. i am very confused

#1: You distribute the exponent so then it turns to:
2(x squared - 4 squared)-3

#2: Then you would solve for 4 squared which is 16 (-4✖️-4):
2(x squared+16)-3

#3: Then you distribute the 2:
2x squared+(2)16-3
Finally Solve:

2x squared+32-3

Final 2x squared+29
(I believe that's the right answer)
