Girl scouts plan to raise a minimum of $500,000 by Christmas Eve. On the first week they raised $48,000 in sales. On the second week of sales they raised $17,000 more than the first week. Write a linear equation that can be constructed to show the number of sales sold week one (x) to the increase of money raised per consecutive week (y).
