PLEASE HELP! replace x with 5 and y with 12. you get 289 for the first one and 168 for the second one. when replacing one or both of the variables with zero we get the same answer. please explain why. ps replacing x, y with any other value other than 0 gives me different answers im looking for an explanation why that is.
