When t = 1 ⇒ the height is 4 feet
When t = 2 ⇒ the height is 6 feet

The speed is given by height ÷ time 
Total height = 8 - 2 = 6 feet
Total time = 3 - 0 = 3 seconds
Speed = 6÷3 = 2 feet per seconds
