Equation 2: β2x + y = 6
Recall that the first step in solving a system of equations by the method of elimination is to make the coefficients for x or y have the same absolute value but opposite signs.
Multiply Equation 2 with a number to make the absolute value of its x-coefficient the same as in Equation 1. Remember to multiply each term.
