Wayne is mixing paint. He makes six quarts of brown paint by mixing equal quantities of yellow paint and violet paint. The violet paint is made from one-third red paint and two-thirds blue paint.
1.What percentage of the brown paint is made from red paint? ( Hint: use the ratio table and convert the fraction to percentage) Explain how you figure out
2.Wayne decides to make 12 quarts of brown paint by using the same formula as above. Will the percentage of brown paint that is made from blue paint change or stay the same? Explain your answer. (Hint: proportional table. Will the ratio/percentage of the paint change with the increase in the amount of paint used?)
