Planet Distance from sun in (km) Distance in Scientific Notation Mercury 57,909,000 km 5.7909x10^7
Venus 108,000,000 km 1.08x10^8
Earth 150,000,000 km 1.50X10^8
Mars 229,000,000 km 2.29X10^8
Jupiter 779,000,000 km 7.79X10^8
Saturn 1,400,000,000 km 1.4X10^9
Uranus 2,880,000,000 km 2.88X10^9
Neptune 4,498,252,900 km 4.498252X10^9

A. It would need to travel 671,000,000 km and that would be 6.71x10^8. I subtracted Jupiter’s distance to Venuses distance and then made it a scientific notation.
B. The three planets combined would be still less than, because the three combined will equal 315,909,000 and Jupiter’s distance is 4,498252,900.
C. Earth would be closest to Saturn because Earths distance would become 1,500,000,000 and Saturn’s distance is 1,400,000,000 and the scientific notation would be 1.5x10^9.
D. It would take the space shuttle about 44,625 hours because Saturn’s distance subtracted by earths distance equals 1,250,000,000 and then divided by the distance the space shuttle travels per hour, gives you the result of 44,625 hours (rounded). The scientific notation would be 4.4625x10^4.
