X = total amount in her bank

1/3x - 240 = 1/9x
1/3x - 1/9x = 240
3/9x - 1/9x = 240

x = 240 / (2/9)
x = 240 * 9/2
x = 2160/2
x = 1080 <===

check1/3(1080) - 240 = 1/9(1080)
             360 - 240 = 120
              120 = 120 (correct)

so her bank can hold 1080 pennies

I'm just guessing, but my answer would c. 0 to 300.
