Next, you would divide 2 on both sides. 1/2 divided by 2 gives you 0.25 because dividing by a number means multiplying by its reciprocal. Another way to write 2 is 2/1. If you flip this number around, you get the reciprocal, 1/2. 1/2 multiplied by 1/2 is equal to 0.25. So x = 0.25 is your answer.
