Im really confused with the fractions and percentages in this. how do i solve

 9 kg are bad (and presumably, cannot be sold.  So we have: 

60 kg minus 9 kg = 51 kg.

The remainder is "51 kg".

"(1/3)" of this remaining are too small too be sold.

(1/3) * 51 = 51 kg / 3 = 17 kg.

So, subtract "17 kg" from the "remainder" :

51 kg − 17 kg = 34 kg .


We have "34 kg of potatoes that can be sold" .
