What is infinity? positive? negative?

i think infinity is both because infinity extends in both ways, positive and negative.

Positive infinity is a symbol used to designate the limit of a sequence or function that eventually exceeds any prescribed bound. Negative infinity does the same thing for sequences that eventually fall below any prescribed bound.
