If b is the midpoint that means that 3x-5=x+3. now we have you find the value of x, so we have to get x by its self on one side of the equation. add 5 to the - 5 and what you do to one side of the equation you have to do to the other so also add 5 to x+3. now you have 3x=x+8. subtract x  or 1x from x+8 and subracts 1x from 3x, now you have 2x=8. finally divide 2x by 2 and divide 8 by 2. x=4. now all you have to do is plug in the value of x, 4,  into the original equations. zb=3(4)-5, zb=7 ba=4+3, ba=7 so ZA=14. the answer is D.
