Hi there! I'm not totally sure if this is what the question is asking but hopefully this can still help you :)

Usually when given two equations, the solution is the point of intersection between the lines of the two.

To get the lines you can either use a graphing tool (which is what I used) OR use the equations to locate 2 points for each line and draw it to find the intersection solution manually.

The best way to do this is to find the intercepts.

E.g. for the first equation: x+y<3

We can find the intercepts by substituting in 0. For the x-intercept, the y is 0, therefore the x intercept is: x + 0 < 3, x<3

And the y-intercept: 0+y < 3, y< 3

With the second equation: y<x+5

X intercept: 0<x+5, x>5

Y intercept: y<0+5, y<5

Using these points (3,0),(0,3) and (0,5),(5,0) for the two lines, we can then draw them and identify where they intersect, as shown in the attached picture.
