That crazy Mr. Martell is at it again! This time he has taken a basketball up on the roof of Sheldon to test its bounciness. Mr. Johnson was standing on the ground to help
determine that the basketball bounced back to a height of 7 feet on the second
bounce, and bounced to a height of 2.52 feet on the fourth bounce. Mr. Martell was so
excited about his experiment that he climbed down from the roof without measuring the
initial drop height.
Help Mr. Martell and Mr. Johnson find the drop height of the basketball, AND determine
the exponential equation that models the basketball experiment.

An automobile assembly line operation has a scheduled mean completion time, μ, of 12 minutes. the standard deviation of completion times is 1.6 minutes. it is claimed that, under new management, the mean completion time has decreased. to test this claim, a random sample of 33 completion times under new management was taken. the sample had a mean of 11.2 minutes. assume that the population is normally distributed. can we support, at the 0.05 level of significance, the claim that the mean completion time has decreased under new management? assume that the standard deviation of completion times has not changed.
