Two summers ago, Mrs. Pugawko saw a female black bear on a trail in Olympic National Park and was shocked with how large the bear appeared. The park ranger told her that there are 2,852 adult female black bears that are tracked and tagged in the national park. A random sample of 45 female black bears from those tagged had an average body weight of 204 pounds with a standard deviation of 26 pounds.
A. Construct and interpret a 95% confidence interval to estimate the true population mean weight of all female bears that are tagged.
B. How big of a sample size should the ranger take if he wantsh is margin of error to be no more than 7 pounds?
