A group of statistics collected data to argue their case and decided to sample patrons of a local restaurant and found that 59% of patrons said they received good service. Among patrons who had dinner, 76% said they received good service. Of the patrons who received good service, 55% believe tipping should be mandatory. Four in ten patrons believe tipping should be mandated by law.
