X ≥ 5

The arrow is going into the direction of numbers larger than that 5. Meaning that x (which the arrow stands for) is greater than 5 and 5 is less than the x. So that x (which the arrow represents), can be any number greater than 5.

But if you noticed the line underneath the symbol, it means x is ALSO greater than OR equal to that 5.

Instead of writing a regular symbol, I added “or equal to” (which is the line underneath) because the circle above the 5 on the graph is closed.

A closed circle is when the dot is filled in.
If it were an open circle (which is when there’s space in the center of the dot, so it would look more like an outline of a circle), it would be the regular symbol.
