I agree with the premise that it is always better to switch because you have a better chance of picking wrong the first time and they show what is most likely the other wrong one, so that leaves only one right answer (the curtain you didn't intially choose or was lifted). So if you chose a curtain and didn't switch, you only have about a 33% chance of winning. If you switch after they lift a curtain, then you have a 66% of winning, should you not have the luck to pick right the first time
