Electric vehicles have become more popular in recent years due in part to advances in battery technology. How does full battery charge time relate to the driving range of the vehicle on a highway? The scatterplot and regression equation display this relationship for one specific electric vehicle from the current year. The equation of the regression line is Å·=36.62 + 24.805x. Suppose you leave your electric vehicle to charge over the weekend for for 36 hours. Would you be willing to use the LSRL equation above to predict how far your vehicle would get on the highway after 36 hours of charging? Why or why not?
