Sabastian went to the deli to purchase a Gatorade and gum. The Gatorade cost $1.75, and the price of the gum he wants is $0.35 for each pack. Sabastian doesn’t have any cash on him, so he tries to use his credit card to buy one Gatorade and one pack of gum. The cashier points to a sign that says “$6 minimum for credit cards” Sabastian decides to buy 1 Gatorade but is considering buying as many packs of gum as needed to pay by credit card.

a) Write an inequality that can be used to determine the number of packs of gum, p, that Sabastian must buy to pay by credit card.

b) Determine the minimum number of packs Sabastian will need to buy so that he can pay for the total using his credit card. Justify your answer.
