2. Divide both sides by 4

3. Make a graph

First start at the y-intercept, (0, -3)*

Then, use the pattern -3/4

It is called rise over run.

But, when the slope is negative you have to go down instead of up. So you have to go down 3 and 4 to the right.

Continue that pattern until you get your result.

But when you have to go to the upper part of the graph go up 3 and over 4 to the left.

Continue this pattern.
