Happy Halloween! What's your favorite Halloween tradition?

Did you know that Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in)? The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago, mostly in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom, and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1. People would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanterns, festive gatherings, donning costumes, and eating treats. This is where we are today!

Stay safe out there tonight! Maybe don't go trick or treating, stay in, and watch scary movies! Ask your parents to buy you candy instead, and play some fun games! Even though you might not be able to trick or treat, you can still have loads and loads of fun! :-D
