Horizon’s is an airline making decisions about purchasing new airplanes in 2020. They need to
decide how many small airplanes to purchase and how many large airplanes to purchase. The
airplane wants their new planes to have a capacity for at least 3,300 people. The airline has
resources for at most 300 hours of maintenance each month. Each small airplane carries 55
people and requires 5 hours of maintenance each month. Each large airplane carries 220
people and requires 10 hours of maintenance each month. Due to demand, Horizon has
decided that their fleet can have no more than 20 new large airplanes. Each small airplane
costs $14,000,000 and each large airplane costs $40,000,000. In order to minimize costs, how
many of each type of airplane should Horizon’s purchase?

If m∠abc = 70°, what is m∠abd? justify your reasoning. using the addition property of equality, 40 + 70 = 110, so m∠abd = 110°. using the subtraction property of equality, 70 − 30 = 40, so m∠abd = 30°. using the angle addition postulate, 40 + m∠abd = 70. so, m∠abd = 30° using the subtraction property of equality. using the angle addition postulate, 40 + 70 = m∠abd. so, m∠abd = 110° using the addition property of equality.
