I’m step 1, the difference of 1.5 x (-3.2) and 1.5 x (2.5) should be written as a sum

For example the right next step you be

1.5 x (-3.2) + 1.5 x (2.5)

And therefore giving you the final result of

= -4.8 + 3.75
= -1.05
