What are are some examples of rates? what do all of the example have in common?

Examples: 4 check ups / 2 people, 10 dogs / 3 people, 7 computer / 10 people

Each of these shares a common thing. The numerator and denominator have different units.

Well rates are actually comparisons of quantities showing a pattern, (just comparing two quantities would be a ratio :P), and UNIT rates are how much a quantity's supplied per single quantity.
Example; (regular rates), 230/5,   322/7,   414/9.
Well, the unit rate for those 3 examples would be 46/1, because in order to figure how much is provided per unit, you would take one of the examples, and divide the top by the bottom, so like you could take 322 and divide it by 7 to get 46, so that would mean it's 46 per unit. They are all in common because they have the same unit rate, and increased by 2. (230/5), (322/7), and (414/9- you add 2 to 5 to get 7, and 2 to 7 to get 9.)
