Sally and Joan have been competing to see who can get more steps in each week on their pedometers. During the past week Sally has done 65,723 steps and Joan has done 90,345 steps. Sally is getting tired of losing and so she says that she actually walks more if you look at the actual distance. Her stride length is 5.5 inches longer than Joan's 18 inch stride. If Sally walks 70,000 steps next week, how many more steps than Sally does Joan have to do to make sure she walks the furthest distance next week? Could you tell me the process and your process to solve the problem?
