slope: (y₂ - y₁) / (x₂ - x₁)

(5 - 2) / (-1 - 1) = 3/-2 = -3/2

y = -3/2x + b

5 = -3/2(-1) + b

5 = 3/2 + b

b = 3.5

y = -3/2x - 7/2

(5.83 - 1.42) / (4.22 + 0.72) = 4.41/4.94

y = 4.41/4.94x + b

5.83 = (4.41/4.94)(4.22) + b

5.83 = 3.76724696 + b

b = 2.06275304

y = 4.41/4.94x + 2.06

(the numbers are really wacky so i hope thats right, so sorry if it isn't)
