If we have an expression

x^2 - 11x -152

Step 1:

Roughly multiply the first and last term

Now think of two numbers that give us -11x when added and at the same time give us -152x^2 when multiplied

Now as the terms in the bracket are same so right them once and another bracket to pair up x+8

So the final answer will be
