The dispatcher supervisor is responsible for the direct management and supervision of all dispatch activities. The supervisor assists in the formation of the communication plan. The supervisor may have deputy positions. Deputies should be equally as qualified as the dispatch supervisor. All radio and telephone traffic at the dispatch center is managed through the use of a communications plan.
