Can a horizontal line have an x-intercept? what if the line passes through the origin? explain.

a. a horizontal line sometimes have an x-intercept. if the line is the x-axis itself, it will have x-intercepts at every point on the line, because the x-intercept is defined as the points at which a line touches the x-axis.
