Create your own character out of shapes that you have cut out of construction paper. You can make any type of character you wish. Just make sure that your character doesn’t look like Aakav (Aakav is Khianna’s character, not yours). Draw your character on the grid including a coordinate plane.

Now you will animate your character using translations, reflections, and rotations. You can change your character’s emotions, engage the character in some sort of activity, or both.

There are only two rules: You cannot add shapes, get rid of shapes, or destroy shapes as you animate. And, you cannot write or draw on the shapes.

You can only translate, reflect, and rotate the shapes. You must use at least one translation, one reflection, and one rotation in your animation.

Draw your “animated” character on the grid including a coordinate plane. Questions: Explain what translation or translations you used in this animation.

How did it contribute to conveying your character’s attitude or actions? Explain what reflection or reflections you used in this animation.
