You would need to factor out the equation to do this. Firstly, ask yourself which two numbers add up to -13 and multiply to 30?

You would get the numbers -3 and -30.

With this, Split -13x in the equation f(x)=6x² -13x+5 as the sum of -3x and -10x.

f(x)=6x² -13x+5 ---> 6x²-3x -10x +5

Next, factor out common terms in the first two terms, then in the last two terms. Do this by finding the greatest common factor or (GCF) in each term pair.

6x²-3x -10x +5 ---> 3x(2x−1) −5(2x−1)

Then, factor out the the common term 2x-1.

3x(2x−1) −5(2x−1) ---> (2x-1)(3x-5)

(2x-1)(3x-5) and (3x-5)(2x-1) are both answers to the equation, it doesn't matter which order the term pairs are in.

***You can have the term pairs in either order due to the communicative property.

When checking your answers, this would be Choice A as your final answer
