Area of the rectangle = length × width

                                    = 6 × 5

                                    = 30 cm²

Base of the triangle = 8 cm - 6 cm = 2 cm

Height of the triangle = 5 cm

Area of the triangle =

                                 =  5 cm²

Area of the trapezoid = Area of the rectangle + Area of the triangle

                                    = 30 cm² + 5 cm²

                                    = 35 cm²

The area of the trapezoid is 35 cm².
