The Louvre is a large museum in Paris, France. In fact, it is one of the largest museums in the world! In 1989, the entrance of the Louvre was adorned with a massive pyramid, whose sides are constructed of glass inside a metal frame, as shown in the picture below. The base of the pyramid is a square, with edges of 35 meters. The height of each lateral face is approximately 27.8 meters. How much glass was needed to construct the sides of the pyramid?
