Data was collected on naturally occurring beaches. Researchers were examining the relationship between median diameter (mm) of granules of sand (x) and the gradient of the beach slope in degrees (Y). The data is on Canvas (data6.txt), a tab delimited text file. Use SAS, R, or Python (these are the only packages that are acceptable) to obtain the following output and use it to answer the questions. You must include the output in your homework along with the answers.

a. Conduct at test to determine whether or not there is a linear association between X and Y at a = 0.05. Be sure to include the null hypothesis, alternative hypothesis, test statistic, pvalue, and conclusion statement.
b. Obtain a 99% confidence interval for B1.
c. Use the confidence interval in part (b) to test to determine whether or not there is a linear association between X and Y at a = 0.01. Explain what you are doing to draw your conclusion.
