A recent New England Journal of Medicine article reported a two-year double-blind study
comparing the effect of aspirin (control) and warfarin (experimental) in the reduction of recurrent
stroke. These two treatments were randomly assigned to the available subjects. The results were
that death or recurrent stroke occurred for 196 of 1103 patients assigned to warfarin and for 176 of
1103 assigned to aspirin. Perform an appropriate test and give a conclusion. Show all work.
