Do people "goof off" too much at work? many employers are concerned about employees wasting time by surfing the internet, texting, and e-mailing during work hours. however, other employers think some "goof off" time is good. at google, for example, employees can spend 20 percent of their time on projects they’re personally interested in, which may involve personal e-mailing or internet use (the fiscal times, april 25, 2012). suppose the ceo of a large company wanted to determine if workers at his/her company spent more than 20% of their time during an 8-hour work day (1.6 hours or 96 minutes) "goofing off". twenty workers from this company were randomly selected (no managers or executives knew who these people were) and asked how much time they spent working on other projects not related to work duties on a typical 8-hour work day (which included personal e-mailing, texting, and internet use). the amount of time spent on such projects of these 20 people (in minutes).

in notation, state the null and alternative hypotheses. in the context of the problem, define the parameter used in the notation.

this is the answer that i came up with, not sure if it's correct.

h0: μ = 96

ha: μ > 96

the parameter used in the notation is the minutes spent goofing off at work.
