Start by dividing things up so that you know them. Use the dotted line to make a square a 2 triangles. Base and height for the square is 4 so that total is 16. Then the triangles have a base an height of 4 as well so that ((4•4)/2)= 8. Then add them together = 24

x-9+x-9+3x-4+3x-4=138

if we simplify it:

8x-26=138

remember, 138 is what it all adds up to

the length is 11.5cm

the width is 57.5cm

the area is 661.25cm^2
