One third. pam put two thirds into the bowl. so... cole put one third into the bowl. one third was put into the bowl by cole. Hope that helps = )

The answer is 4/6.
If they have the same amount then that means Cole's can be simplified to 2/3. So since Cole cut his into 6 pieces to get a denominator 6 from 3 you multiply by 2. What you do to the bottom must be done to the top so you multiply 2 by 2. 
2*2= 4
3*2= 6
