2. consider a function f(x) that takes on values | x +2| -5 for x greater than or equal to -8, and 4x +36 for x less than -8. (i) write f(x) in good piecewise function notation. (ii) use (i) to graph this function. label the vertex of the absolute value portion. (iii) looking at your graph, the absolute value portion of the function could be itself written as a 2-part piecewise graph. so rewrite f(x) as a piecewise function with three pieces. (iv) now use (iii) to find all the zeros of this function. (v) label the points from (iv), with their coordinates, on your graph from (ii). of course, your graph is on graph paper.
