Is anyone familiar with the picket fence method? i need on a few things and i'm willing learn. this method is to convert between 2 factors.. and i just really need with 2 problems.

The picket fence method is a visual way to help convert from one unit to another. The drawing of the diagram looks more or less like a fence. You will draw a horizontal flat line with a set of vertical lines that make up the fence posts. Check out the attached image to see what I mean.
