For Q1.  If Ben is traveling 40 mph and he is driving to a destination 180 miles away, you will divide 180 by 40 to find out how many hours it took for him to get there.  Doing that division gives you 4.5 hours.  If he left his house at 11, then 4.5 hours later has him arriving at the airport at 3:30 pm.  For Q2. this is a unit rate problem.  If the goose can swim 20 meters in 40 seconds, you will divide 20 by 40 to find out how fast he is moving in meters per second.  20/40 = .5.  That means that the goose can travel .5 meters per second.
