Give an example of an odd function and explain algevraically

Y = x^3, the cubing function, is an odd function, because the highest power of x is 3 and there are no even powers of x in this formula.  The graph is symmetrical with respect to the origin.  It begins in Quadrant III and ends in Quadrant I.
